Marin Aurand, the Lead Historian of MEA Historical Consulting has her Masters Degree in History from Portland State University and is finishing her PhD at the University of Oregon, specializing in labor, gender, and social movements in Oregon.
In addition to academic credentials, Marin has worked in nonprofit management for twenty years and in museums in Oregon and Montana for the last decade. She has extensive experience in collections management, museum administration, exhibit design, interpretive programming, and student programming.
Marin's professional goal is to help small heritage organizations meet their mission through rigorous scholarship and engaging community programming.

Marin and a colleague, Marc Carpenter, were contracted to write a comprehensive history of the Oregon State Parks system in celebration of OPRD's 100th anniversary.
